When marriage is celebrated in the Catholic Church, a man and a woman called together by the Lord are united in a sacramental bond that strengthens them in their love for each other. The grace of this sacrament assists husband and wife in offering themselves completely as a gift to each other. It helps them to remain exclusively faithful for the whole of their lives, to welcome children lovingly as a fruit of their married love, and to build their family on the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.
The wedding itself is a beautiful celebration of faith, love, and tradition. Just as every couple takes great care in preparing for their wedding day, the clergy at St. Peter’s are careful to ensure that each wedding is celebrated with reverence and joy, and that each couple is properly prepared for the sacrament and for the new life they are about to begin together.
In order to begin the process of preparing for your marriage at St. Peter’s, please contact Colleen Donahue in the parish office at

Arrangements for marriage should begin at least one year in advance. Any request for a wedding in less than six months cannot be accommodated. You are strongly encouraged to confirm the availability of the church before booking a reception hall.
